De Hoge Veluwe National Park
Approximately 23 kilometers from Landgoed Ruwinkel lies what is probably the most famous national park in the Netherlands, but also the largest: the Hoge Veluwe. In 2016, it was voted the most beautiful nature reserve in the Netherlands by the public! Here you will find the Dutch big five: will you spot them? The mouflon, red deer, wild boar, roe deer, and badger are the five largest animals in our country.
In addition to all the natural beauty, you will also find the fantastic art collection of the Kröller-Müller couple in the world-famous museum of the same name in the middle of the park. Here you will find works by Van Gogh, Picasso, and Mondrian, among others. In addition, the museum's sculpture garden is unparalleled.
Your visit to the national park is not complete without a visit to the delightful Museonder! This museum is free to visit once you have paid the entrance fee to the park and shows everything that happens underground in terms of life and death! It is educational and great fun for both children and adults. You can also hear the various dialects spoken in the Veluwe.
What could be better than being active? Take advantage of the white bicycle plan and discover all the beauty of this magnificent National Park by bike.
