Our personal favorite: Burgers Zoo Arnhem. You can visit Burgers Zoo even in the pouring rain, because a large part of it is covered: there is a tropical rainforest you can enter, you can explore the desert, and walk among the fish in the unique aquarium. Outside, you can walk over the various animals via an aerial walkway, for example the Rimba.

The famous Ouwehands Zoo is located on top of the Grebbeberg. Among other things, the children's series Zoop was filmed here. It is the only zoo in Europe with a Bear Forest: you can walk over this forest via an aerial walkway to view the bears from above. In addition to the famous zoo, Ouwehands also has an indoor children's playground: Ravotaapia! So it's a fun attraction even in inclement weather. At Ouwehands, you can see the world-famous giant panda in real life!

At Apenheul, you can walk among the monkeys! It's an amazing experience you won't soon forget. Meet curious squirrel monkeys, funny prosimians, noisy howler monkeys... They all roam freely in the beautiful, green forest of Apenheul. Don't miss the tough gorilla Jambo. Children can play like monkeys. And the feeding presentations are also highly recommended! They tell you all about the gorilla group.
