Walking or cycling?
Amsterdam is arguably one of the most pleasant and accessible cities in the world. A cosmopolitan village where everything is perfectly accessible and easy to reach by bike, but of course you can also see a lot on foot. You can rent bikes in many places in the city, allowing you to explore the neighborhoods outside the center. This is where real Amsterdam life takes place. Visit the trendy De Pijp neighborhood, where life is bustling, but Oud West and Oost are also two up-and-coming trendy neighborhoods.
Nothing is mandatory, everything is possible: enjoy a walk through the old city center and don't forget to visit the so-called Nine Streets, where you will find charming boutiques instead of large international chains. Visit the famous Beguinage.
