We were given a lovely cottage at the end of a small lane, which meant there was plenty of space around it.

The upgrade to a shower with a sunshower was a nice touch; we used it every day.

This was our third time staying at Ruwinkel, and it probably won’t be our last—there’s so much to see and do in the area that you’ll definitely want to come back.

We had a wonderful time. This is actually our third time at this park. This time we stayed in a two-person studio. It was really clean—many other parks could learn a thing or two from that. It was equipped with everything you need. It came with a spacious garden, complete with patio furniture and a parasol. The staff were friendly and helpful. From the park, you just cross the road and walk straight into the woods. Perfect for the dogs. A good park, but thankfully not as insanely crowded as the big-name resorts.

We had another great week, with beautiful weather. (It’s a shame there aren’t any window screens in the bungalow, though.) We went on some lovely bike rides. The forest is right across from the park, so you can go on some beautiful walks there. There are cozy restaurants at the park, but cooking in the bungalow is also quite easy. You can also have breakfast delivered—I highly recommend it. We’d love to come back again.

The four of us were given an 8-person cottage! That worked out especially well, since it was a very hot spell. There was even a bottle of bubbly waiting for us! Our guests were surprised by how spacious the park was, with each cottage having its own lawn. We’re used to that ourselves—we’ve stayed there many times before. The service at the front desk is always excellent. This time, we also enjoyed the extensive breakfast at Bread & Breakfast—which was really more like brunch—and dined at the restaurants on the park. Every time we visit, we discover new interesting spots and attractions in the area, such as the Poultry Museum in Barneveld.

And as city dwellers, we really enjoy the peace and quiet at the park!
