The Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park is known for its beautiful and varied natural areas. For example, you can take a walk on the Amerongse berg. At 69.2 metres above sea level, it is the highest point in the province of Utrecht. There is a special trail for the mountain bikers among us. Take a walk on the dunes near Soest. You will find the National Military Museum, several zoos, the Pyramid of Austerlitz, Huis Doorn and much more....

The big brother of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, whose attractions include the white bicycle plan, the famous Kröller-Müller museum with all its valuable art treasures. Certainly also worth your visit is the lesser-visited Museonder: the world's first underground museum in which you follow the soil layer by layer all the way to the centre of the earth. We sell admission tickets to the national park at reception. There are 1800 free white bikes at the park that allow you to discover 5400 hectares of nature reserve. Within half an hour you will be in front of the entrance at Otterlo.

What could be better than exploring the surroundings on foot or by bike? Gelderse Vallei is an extremely suitable place for a walking or cycling holiday. With Landgoed Ruwinkel in Scherpenzeel as your base, you are right in the middle of Gelderse Valley. One day you can walk more in the province of Gelderland and the next day you can discover the eastern side of the province of Utrecht.

Walk across farmland and estates in the most beautiful places in Utrecht and Gelderland. Enjoy the tranquillity and discover the stories of the region through videos, sound clips and historical documents with this app. The walks are between 5 and 15 kilometres. By the way, all clog paths are signposted with small signs which, if you follow them, will automatically lead you back to your starting point.

A white sandy beach in the middle of nature with pristine water. Just 10 kilometres from Landgoed Ruwinkel. Henschotermeer! Very famous all around. In summer, you can relax here on the beach or on the grass. You can park your car but it is also very easy to go by bike.
- What activities can I do at the park? 🎾
You can play tennis. Out in the open on the all-weather tennis court. You can bring your own rackets and tennis balls, but they are also available for hire at the park! The tennis court can be rented by the hour.
Who will manage to hit a hole-in-one? On our 18-hole farmers' mini golf course, you can play to your heart's content! Who will be the winner? Buy your admission ticket at reception.
You can play basketball on our small sports field.
