Summer holiday for the family

Op en rond Landgoed Ruwinkel is er van alles te beleven voor jong en oud. Neem een verfrissende duik in ons zwembad of geniet bij mooi weer van het openluchtzwembad in Scherpenzeel. Ontdek de omgeving op de fiets met onze gratis Landgoed Ruwinkel fietsknooppuntenkaart en volg één van de vele leuke fietsroutes. Voor de kinderen is er de gratis speurtocht “De geheime sleutels van Landgoed Ruwinkel” en kunnen ze zich uitleven met onze unieke escape-koffer. Wandel over de vele Klompenpaden en proef tussendoor de lekkerste gerechten in onze restaurants of begin de dag goed met het befaamde Boerenland Ontbijt.

What to do in the area?

When you stay at Landgoed Ruwinkel, you can also visit one the many atttractions in the area for example;

Local zoos as Ouwehands Rhenen (20 km) , DierenPark Amersfoort (21 km), Burgers Zoo Arnhem (35 km) and the Apenheul (42 km) or Dolfinarium (46 km);
Swimming and sunbathing at the Henschotermeer;
Themeparks as Julianatoren (kids), Walibi (a lot of rollercoasters), KidzCity (indoor kids playground);
Visit one of the two National Parks and spot the wildlife on the Hoge Veluwe or the Utrechtse Heuvelrug;
Castles and palaces like castle Amerongen, House Doorn or former royal palace Soestdijk
Museums like the spectaculair National Military Museum located at the former air base Soesterberg and the Pyramide from Austerlitz

A beautiful alternative for Amsterdam: the historical city centre of Amersfoort (15 km), shopping heart of the Netherlands : Veenendaal (10 km), Utrecht (25 km), Arnhem (26 km) and Amsterdam (60 km, 45 minutes by train).

De ligging van Landgoed Ruwinkel is ideaal: het park staat bekend om haar rust en ruimte in de directe landelijke omgeving van de Gelderse Vallei. Het vakantiepark is vlakbij de Utrechtse Heuvelrug gelegen. Als u het park afloopt wandelt u zo het bos in voor een mooie wandeling. Midden in het groen en zoveel te doen dat een week vakantie eigenlijk niet genoeg is.
